We had an amazing day today!! The sun was shining so we were able to enjoy many different displays. We saw different animals in their habitats. We talk and compared how some animals live in water, some on land and water, some on land, some underground. All the yeladim behaved like really big kids. They listened to their Morahs right away and when Morah called out “hold the rope”, every child went quickly to find a spot on the rope.
Today, we had a Lag B’Omer parade in school. We marched around the block with our school wearing the crowns we made. We each had chosen a picture of a Mitzvah and we colored it with dot markers and put it on a crown. Afterwards, we watch a video of a bonfire celebration of Lag B’omer.
Yesterday, we made triangle collages for our triangle bulletin board. We also got to go the Juice Bar in the shul and try some freshly made juice. It was a very different taste than we expected. We didn’t like it too much, but it was a fun experience.
We’re also getting really good at building with blocks. Look at this Beis Hamikdash we built together.
Today, we started with some watercolor painting for some free art. Afterwards, we put soil and seeds into our flowerpots. We added a little water and put them by the windowsill to grow.
We started playing with our toys and the children were having such a good time playing together, they got an extra long play time.
We had to work extra hard by clean up time, but once the whole room was cleaned, we got a special treat! Rabbi Naftoli did some juggling for us. We really liked that!
Afterwards, Morah Perel told the story of how it came to be that the Torah was given on Har Sinai. We learned that there were many Mountains in the Desert. They heard that Hashem was going to pick one to give the Torah to the Jewish People. They all started talking about how they are the greatest and best, except Har Sinai. He didn’t think he was better than his friends and because of that Hashem chose him to give the Torah. We know now that it’s important to be humble and not put down our friends. We are talking a lot about the word “friendship” and this fits into being a friend and having friendship. We will now also have “Good Friend” stickers to put on our charts when we show friendship.
So, because of the rain and other logistics, we changed our plans and went to Gym today. We hadn’t been to Gym in a really gone time, so we were really excited to play with all the toys. We had a great time!
Tomorrow, we will be making Triangle collages. If you have any triangle shaped “odds and ends” around the house, please send it in. We will also plant seeds in our flower pots.
Today, we started by decorating cups that we will soon be using to grow flowers. We had a great time using glue and tissue paper. All of our hands were dirty and sticky, so we only got pictures from after if was done. Once our hands were washed we went to the circle and played with puzzles.
We then looked at a triangle. We saw a triangle has three sides. So using our friends as the sides, we each got a turn to be part of a triangle.
After breakfast, we went on a Triangle Hunt and went to the park. At the park we played with chalk and practice making triangles.
