Rosh Hashana

We have continued our Rosh Hashana learning. On Tuesday, we made a shofar and apple collage to put on our bulletin board. We also got to look at three different colored apples. We will be doing a project with them on Thursday. Then at circle time, we tried out some different foods. We tried lemon slices and saw how sour they were. Then we tried apple dipped in honey and we saw that it was yummy and sweet. On Wednesday, we decorated a picture of an apple using the three colors of apples, yellow, red, and green. We also decorated our class Tzeddaka box with stickers.

Some Friday Fun!

We had a lot of fun on Friday. We started our day making our own challah. Then by play time, Morah Perel brought in a box of tambourines. We had a lot of fun making our own music. After playing outside, we came in for our shabbos party. Joshua was the Shabbos Abba and Arden was the Shabbos Imma. We sang Shabbos songs and light the candles. We also got to drink grape juice and eat fresh challah that Morah Bella made for us.

Here are some pictures from our first week of school. We have really made a lot of progress. The children are learning the school routines, particitpating in circle time, and enjoyed hearing the shofar being blown. We learned a song about the Shofar. It goes as follows;
The shofar in the shul goes too too too
too too too, too too too
The shofar in the shul goes too too too
too too, too too too
On Rosh Hashana day.

Welcome to Pre Nursery!

Welcome! The children of pre nursery had their first real day of school. Parents said good bye by their classroom door and they went like big children to school. Some of us were a little sad at first, but quickly got into the routine and activities of school. We enjoyed morning circle. All the children sat and they are starting to pick up the motions and words. Afterwards, we had a yummy and filling breakfast. Then we got to play outside with the bikes and toy house. Soon Morah Bella brought out some bubbles!! What fun! We got turns to blow our own bubbles. We came back in and had a Music and Movement Circle time, where we sing songs with movements, for example; Hokey Pokey. Then we got to play with all of our classroom toys. The children interacted with each other. They were helping each other build with pegs and blocks and also cook in the kitchen. Then we cleaned up and had a delicious lunch and got ready for nap. The children slept well. They were so tired from all the fun they had!
