What a Beautiful day!

What a beautiful, sunny day! We took advantage of the beautiful weather and shortened our indoor playtime and spent a lot of time outside. We practice asking for a turn and sharing with our friends, as you will see in the pictures.
We also continued our discussion about emotions. We read a book about feelings and practice making faces to fit the emotions.
"Benny, can I have a turn?"

"Yes Rochelle!" "Thank you, Benny. You can ride my car."

"Please can I have a turn?"

"You can have a turn now, Esti"

Smile Cookies

Today in class we made cookies and put candies on the cookie to make it a face. We had a lot of fun patting the dough flat, placing jellybeans for eyes, candy corn for nose, gummy eggs as ears, and licorice rope as mouth and hair. Morah Perel and Morah Bella's hands were so busy, we didn't get a chance to take a picture of the yeladim at work.
We also started talking about happy faces. We are beginning to discuss and learn emotions.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day, we were able to spend a lot of time playing outside.

Our first trip to Gym!

Today our class went to the Gym for the first time. We had a great time. We got to play with many different interesting toys. We shared a big swing. We took turns trying a pretend treadmill. We had a lot of fun in the ball bin. There was also a special sensory room. It was dark and had special lamps that changed color. there were soft pillows and bumpy pillows. It felt interesting and different to us.

Silly Faces!

On Wednesday, all the yeladim made a silly face on paper. The Yeladim were given a variety of materials and they chose on their own what they wanted to use. They had a variety of size googly eyes, different color and sizes of pompoms for noses. They could choose what size and color foam piece for ears. Morah Perel put glue on the paper and the yeladim placed the objects in the right locations. They had a lot of fun! Then at lunch, Morah Bella arranged our food to look like faces. The yeladim loved it! Everyone was so excited to eat their food.

Red Grocery Trip and more.

On Monday, we went on a trip to the grocery store to look for red fruits and vegetables. We found red tomatoes, red peppers, red apples, and red maraschino cherries. The yeladim helped Morah put the foods in the bags and pay for our food.
On Tuesday, we made silly faces using all our red fruits and vegetables. We used cherries for eyes and an apple slice for mouth. Red Peppers and tomato were used for ears and nose. Then we ate our delicious food art.
We are enjoying seeing our red toys from home in our classroom. We get to play with them at play time and stuffed animals we can cuddle at nap time.
We are learning the parts of our face. So please review at home. We are learning our eyes, ears, nose, mouth, chin, cheeks, and head.

We hold onto the rope and walk safely.
