Trees, Books and More Helpers

This week has been a lot of fun and very busy. We started out learning about trees. We painted our own tree and we learned that Tu B'shvat is the birthday for trees. We learned that the trees have been sleeping all winter and now is when they start to wake up and get ready for spring. 

We had our first mother come in for Literacy Month. Larry's mom read to us a book on Big Bird going on airplane.

Then, we had a surprise guest. We had Mr. Genye, the school fixer man, come to our class and show us some of the tools he uses to fix things around school. We had a great time! The yeladim were so excited to get measured with the measuring tape and many other amazing tools.

Then on Wednesday, we had our Rosh Chodesh Rally. We enjoyed trying the Shivah Minim, the 7 special fruits and grains. We also got a piece of a special cake shaped like a tree.
