Coming Back after Pesach Vacation

We were all very glad to see each other after such a long break. We started our day with drawing a picture to give to Rochelle tomorrow on her birthday. Then after breakfast, we made yellow cupcakes for her party tomorrow. We are all very excited!

We will begin learning about the upcoming holiday of Shavuot. We will also begin to learn our shapes. We are starting with Circle on Monday.  We will also begin our topic of “Things that Grow.” We have already begun discussing Spring and how all the plants are going to start blooming. By movement time, we pretend we are flowers growing in the sunlight and rain.

Model Seder

On Friday, we had our model Seder together with the nursery class. We started by reenacting the splitting of the sea. We explained to the children that the Jewish people left Mitzrayim/Egypt and came to a sea. They didn’t know how they were going to get across and Hashem made a big miracle and split the sea into two. They were able to walk through two walls of water. Not only that, the Jewish children were hungry, so Hashem put delicious fruits and treats in the walls for them to eat. Morahs’ put lollypops for all the children to eat after the Seder on the two sea sides.

Our Yeladim in pre nursery learned some great Pesach songs. Please sing with them at home.

1) Dayeinu

2) The first question of the four questions: Ma Nishtana, Ha-Laila Ha-zeh Micol Ha-Lailot? She-Bechol HaLeitot Anu Ochlim Chametz oo Matzah, Ha-Lailah Hazeh kulo Matzah?

3) Kadesh, Urchatz, Carpas, Yachatz, Maggid, Rachtzah, Motzei Matzah, Morror, Corach, Shulchan Aruch, Tzafun, Berach, Hallel, Nirtzah.

4) Ten Maccahs, Maccahs Ten, The Mitzrim were punished again and again.

Beginning our Haggadah

Today, we began to make our Number Haggada. We had a good time coloring in the letters of the cover page and gluing     on sequins onto the shabbos candles.
