Today, our class went to the shul to see our Hebrew letter in the Sefer Torah. We saw how the Torah is kept in a big beautiful Aron Kodesh, just like we keep our small Torahs in our small Aron Kodesh. When we came back, we saw a surprise on the table. The Aleph Beis chart had honey on it. We tasted the sweet honey and Morah Perel told us that learning Aleph Beis is as sweet as honey.
Then we took down our big Menorah from our bulletin board. Morah Perel put up a new poster with pictures of different people. Morah asked “Who helps us when we’re sick?” Larry said “the doctor!”. We found the picture of the doctor on the poster. Then Morah asked “who helps us if there is a fire?” “A fireman!” Then we thought about who helped us today at the shul. “Rabbi” And who helps Yeladim at school? “Morahs” And now we are going to start learning about our Neighborhood Helpers, people who help us around the neighborhood.
